In Support of Yvonne Brown's Two Little Girls

This fundraiser is in support of the funeral arrangements for Yvonne Brown and the financial support of her two lovely daughters Layla & Samira Adams. Yvonne was a loving and devoted mother, a passionate poet and author, as well as a good friend. Her untimely departure due to the Covid- 19 virus has sent a ripple effect within her family/ friends, the communities that she served as a dedicated English educator in Prince George's and Montgomery County Public Schools, the Iranian-American community, and Archivist and Social Media Chair of the Toni Morrison Society.

 

Yvonne loved her daughters immensely and her life's mission was to expose them to many adventures like kayaking, STEM schools, the arts, and their African-American & Iranian cultures. Her warm smile will continue to resonate in her children and the lives that she touched.  Sadly, she was denied life insurance because of her weight loss journey that was recently celebrated in a healthy living article.

 

Although I don't usually ask for help, our lives have been dramatically altered.  I am now a single father with three girls whose mother's died prematurely and seeking financial assistance to help with basic needs, educational endeavors, and general living expenses. Also, my eldest is in college in hopes to graduate from the School of Public Health at Temple in 2023. Unfortunately, my salary as a high school teacher is not enough and I have had to quit my second job to transition into a full-time dad.  I am currently struggling financially.   Any help or resources would be gladly appreciated.
