For Emma
Donation protected
For Emma is a short film about a young, previously homeless mother fighting to regain custody of her daughter.
We are a group of students from Chapman University working to make a film that deals with issues like homelessness, women's issues, and motherhood.
Spurred by recent local events affecting the homeless population of Orange County, we were inspired as artists to use our medium to generate empathy. Through our narrative, we hope to motivate our audience to get up and do something when they leave the theater.
Our entire team is dedicated to making the best film possible, and in order to do that, we need the capital to get started.
Unfortunately, films (even short films) are very expensive to make properly. In order to do justice to this story, we will need money for camera equipment, sound equipment, locations, food, and so much more.
Of course, it wouldn't be an activist film if we only talked about it, so in an effort to pay it forward and help the communities we are trying to advocate for, 10% of all donations will go to Casa Teresa, which provides pregnant women in crisis a loving home to begin their healing journey.
With a diverse cast and crew, we hope to operate under the mission of diversity, inclusion, and kindness. Any and all donations would be appreciated and immediately put to good use.
Thank you!
