Forest Hills Robotics: COMETS 3357

Who are we?
The COMETS are a team of high school students from Forest Hills Public Schools in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who design, build, and program robots to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition. Since our inception in 2010, we have competed in over 50 events – including district events, the Michigan State Championship, and the FIRST World Championship. We have qualified for and competed in the World Championship seven times, two of those seeing us advance to the finals bracket.
What is FIRST Robotics Competition?
FIRST Robotics Competition is an international, non-profit STEM program that teaches students skills by challenging them to build an industrial-grade robot as a team to compete in a different game each year. In 2022, there were over 3,200 teams worldwide.
Why are we fundraising?
While FIRST Robotics Competition may look like it's all about robots, it's actually about a lot more. Our team’s work is sustained by generous corporate sponsors, as well as individual partners who want to further our success as a team.
By supporting the COMETS, you are investing not only in a fun and successful competition season for us, but also in our STEM education, FIRST values such as “gracious professionalism”, our impact in the community, and our ability to build a better future for all of us.
