Forest Of Dean Dog Rescue

Somehow, I've managed to reach my 50th birthday!

When I was younger, I was convinced that I'd never get this far - but I have!
As last year, I'm again asking for donations to Forest of Dean Dog Rescue.

We've long advocated getting a Rescue Dog, over a new puppy, because dogs that end up in a rescue DESERVE to have a second chance at life. Indeed, last year, we adopted another Corgi from FODDR, and Henry managed to train her a lot before he went over the rainbow bridge.

It doesn't seem to matter what you do to a dog; they will always come back and love you regardless. Having several rescues ourselves, we understand this and wish that we could do more to make all of their lives better.

I also understand that, for some people, having a rescue isn't feasible - they may not be going to be around enough to give them the extra hours needed. For some people, they can't have any pets because of where they live or their work commitments (I feel sorry that they'll not feel the enrichment that a dog can bring to their lives).

I do understand all of this.

So, this year, just giving £1 could mean the difference. A dog having to stay where it is - trapped in an ever-descending cycle that they don't understand. They do everything that's asked of them, but they still get starved, beaten, relentlessly made to have puppies...

Or

They're given the freedom and love that a new home could bring to them. Where they get fed, hugged and fussed - and their love that they freely give means something.

I've chosen this charity because it truly means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal.

I've included information about Forest of Dean Dog Rescue below.

Registered Charity 1172913 Dog rescue for all breeds of dog based in the Forest of Dean. Further information, contact details and application form can be found on our website:

So go on - just £1. Less than a bottle of Coke, or a half in the pub (apparently). It could help change a dog from feeling forgotten, into someone's Forever Furbaby. Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Forest of Dean Dog Rescue and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
