Forest School and Mindfulness for SEN children

Thought this was the best way to get you an update!

We are thrilled to be growing and as we enter or 4th year (just cant believe how fast its gone) we have two new schools coming in the new year so will be open 4 days a week, helping 4 local schools plus Access2Education Surrey in term time. In holiday times we have Surrey Care Trust, 1:1 families and LinkAble Woking . So are now have more wonderful volunteers helping and a freelancer starting in January.

We now have funding from the National Lottery and the Community Foundation for Surrey but I still need to leave this fundraiser open as there is always more to pay for! The schools and settings that visit us have absolutely no budget and we just want to help more children enjoy our facility so we don't charge!

To those new visitors here, my name is Alex and I am fundraising to continue to realise my dream of creating an exciting forest school and outdoor resource venue for mindfulness and well-being primarily but not exclusively for SEN children aged tots to teens. We want to continue offering this free to our users. We have been going 4 years now and are so thrilled to find out that Briarsfield is much needed and enjoyed.

At our peaceful field in Chobham, Surrey, we have provided the basics of a lovely mud kitchen and tots natural play area, a sensory circuit, den building areas, a swing, sensory hammocks and activity tables. We also have 2 therapy mini shetlands ponies who are proving very popular!
