Dear Friends, Neighbors, Family and Community,

Yesterday afternoon, my parents house caught on fire. While we stood there my dad said that even though people always say stuff is just stuff, until you watch that stuff burn up in front of you, you don't know if you really mean it. If you know my dad, you will know that he meant it, it's just stuff. However, I can tell you that it's also more than just stuff. It's memories and mementos and it's a house that will never be our home again.

My parents and my brother are fine. Our cat Kiara didn't make it and we are so sad that we lost her, especially like this. I know that a lot of people have reached out asking what they can do, so I am setting up this GoFundMe campaign as a way for you to help my mom and dad rebuild. The bottom picture is my brother's room and you can see that it was completely destroyed. The rest of the house isn't much better and walking through it last night was one of the saddest experiences I've ever had. Everything is gone, a house full of the things that made it home and the place where Zach and I grew up. 

The top picture showcases who my parents are. They are the people that smile in the face in tragedy, because they still have each other and Zach and I, and they know what is truly important in life.
