Former abused dog battling Cancer needs funding

My name is Cain. I'm a senior wired hair Jack Russell Terrier who's an older brother to six other siblings, 1 dog and 5 cats...we are all rescues. As a puppy I started my life in a backyard and grew up as a backyard dog for most of my life. Neglected, never socialized, not often fed, tethered for days at a time. Never understanding why, as I had a beautiful yard I could run around in. My previous owner was an animal abuser who use to beat me and shot me in the leg and broke my femur with a BB gun. I still have the fragments in my legs to this day. In 2021 my life changed forever, My current fur dad found out about my story and drove to California from NY to pick me up as I couldn't do planes, before I knew it me and dad were on a road trip back east! I felt like the luckiest dog in the world and was as happy as can be.

My health had been very good despite what i had been through and up until recently I was doing well. Then my dad saw something was wrong when he suspected I had a mini seizure and I was brought in right away to see the vet. They did x-rays and blood work and found a mass on my liver. It was utterly devastating. After an ultrasound was performed it was determined that I had Hepatocellular Carcinoma, I had one single large mass on my tumor that was causing me to be ill. The good news was that it was operable and the prognosis was good if I could get the surgery. There is a high success rate, but without the surgery I will die. Given that my blood work came back great as well as my ultrasound not detecting other tumors, it was determined that it would be worth doing the surgery.

In the last 18 months I lost my grandpa, grandma , two of my fur siblings and my other dog sibling Luke is currently battling Kidney Disease. It's been tough on my dad and I know he's not ready to lose me when the option is clear that surgery would save me. I'd like to have another few years with him and I need your help to make that happen.
