Former EMT needs our help

For over 4 years she’s been dealing with excruciating pain that nobody could tell her what the cause is. This caused the end of her career on the ambulance last year. Now they say she has a disease that’s destroying her bones and joints, but they still don’t have a specific diagnosis or cure. She was supposed to follow up for more testing with a rheumatologist but can’t afford to continue. She hasn’t been able to work for nearly 2 months now and has to spend most of her day in bed. It’s getting more difficult to sit up for long periods of time, lift her legs, and bend down. Her husband has to assist her in most daily activities due to unbearable pain and mobility issues. She has spent most of the year at home and has had her life including her college career put on hold. She’s no longer able to do the things she once loved like hiking or swimming. She is not able to stand or walk for long distances because of a nerve being compressed that causes numbness in her left leg and painful burning.
On her husband’s insurance now she has a very high deductible and poor coverage and is currently not able to pay for any treatment. Her doctor is requiring her balance be paid in full before returning to his office. The only medication that helped with her pain called Belbuca is over $600 even with a copay card from the company. She is in a substantial amount of medical debt (over $20,000) that is going to be very difficult to recover from alone. She also is desperately needing her left hip replaced, a discectomy, and a peripheral nerve stimulator implanted, but cannot afford any of these procedures. She had SI Joint fusion in February and is in more pain than before the surgery due to nerve damage. She also needs treatment for severe migraines caused by the steroid she has been on since May.
My goal is to help make things easier for her by raising money to help pay for her medication and surgeries so that she can return to a somewhat normal life and return to helping others without living in pain everyday. Any little bit helps. Thank you.
