Unpaid Employees-Emergency Funds
The doors to an Irish pub among the favorites of New Orleans closed its doors on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. In the wake of this sad news, 28 employees were suddenly left without an income to support their families. Subsequently, the next week on Thursday, June 8th, all employees were informed that they would not be receiving a final check for labor worked and tips earned during the previous two week period. People have been asking what they can do to help these 28 employees so here we are.
This page was set up solely for the purpose of paying these employees the wages they have earned. Please, donate whatever you can and SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW.
Also, the offers from venues, organizations and musicians personally aware of the hardships this sudden loss of income has had on these employees have been heartfelt. On Friday, June 23, 2017 please join us for a special benefit for former Irish House employees courtesy of Kerry Irish Pub and Muggivan School of Dance. This event will begin at 8pm at Kerry Irish Pub (click here for directions to Kerry Irish Pub). All funds donated here and at the door of the benefit as well as proceeds from awesome donated gift cards and merchandise purchased at the benefit will be given to former Irish House employees for wages owed.
WE CANNOT SAY THANK YOU ENOUGH TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THIS TEAM OF PEOPLE.
