Forsaken: A short film about running out of time
Donation protected
My name is Elaina, and I'm the writer/producer of the student short film "Forsaken."
I've always wanted to tell a story about loss, but not in death. About running out of time to make amends with someone you love before it's too late. About taking people for granted when you disagree with them, and just how painful separation can be.
Forsaken tells the story of a lonely old man with a deteriorating mind, who has run out of time. Robert chose not to accept his queer son Nick, and faces paranoia and guilt as he loses touch with the memories that got them to their current state of disconnect. One day, Nick doesn't show up to the train station, and Robert spirals.
These funds will go towards feeding, housing, and transporting the wonderful cast and crew of students whose time and hearts will go into this project over the next few months. We hope this film can show our skills and our stories, but that would be unfortunately impossible without the donations to help create it.
We hope you consider helping us bring this story to life.
Sincerely,
Elaina
