Support for Toomer's Teruko Dobashi

We are asking the Toomer community to come together to support and help our beloved Assistant Principal, Dr. Teruko Dobashi. Her mother (who lived in CA) unexpectedly passed away this past week. Teruko is her sole surviving family member and has traveled to make all the arrangements and handle all the logistics, all while managing and holding her own grief. There is no insurance nor are there savings to help with the costs associated with the funeral and laying her mother to rest (in addition to the costs associated with traveling to and staying in CA). We hope the Toomer community could contribute what they can to help Teruko bury and honor her mother.

There is not a single Toomer student who has not been impacted and nurtured by Teruko over the past 6 years. She is a light in our community- she works tirelessly and endlessly for our students.

She needs us now- please help us spread the word about this fundraiser. 100% of all funds will be going directly to Teruko. Please email the Toomer PTA with questions or other suggestions on how to help.
