El Foster Club is a non-profit organization established in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 2016. We're dedicated to rescuing and finding foster care for abandoned, abused, and stray dogs and cats in Puerto Rico. We fund our rescues veterinary cares to rehabilitate and find them permanent homes in US or send them to non kill shelter partners in the US. Up to date El Foster Club has successfully rescued over 2,000 stray dogs and cats, primarily dogs. Our goal is to place rescued dogs into a network of foster caregivers while they transition to non-kill shelters for adoption on the US mainland or they find forever homes. We operate primarily through social media and have a growing network of 7,000+ animal lovers. The rescue mission process can take anywhere from 8-10 weeks that is if the dog/cat is not severely injured.

1st part, taking them to our vet for initial checkups such as blood & heartworm tests, deworming, skin scrapes, and anti-fleas treatment. In addition to first and second round of shots (DHLPP and Rabies) and spay or neutering as this is the most crucial part of our mission to end animal overpopulation in the island.

2nd part is finding Foster care. For most rescues, we are unable to find foster care right away so many times we also have to cover boarding expenses for 5 days to a week.

3rd and final part, once the dog is ready to travel, we incur on traveling expenses, which include travel certificates, kennel, water bowls and airline tickets. (Price depends on dogs weight/size, and costs are an average of $250 per dog).*if the owner or shelter cant keep the dog we take him back and look for a better fit for them.

As the Holiday season approaches with only 45 days left until Christmas we created this Go Fund Me to collect $15,000 dollars in donations and thus be able to rescue and save more stray, abused and neglected animals.

Christmas is a time of giving and sharing, so why not donate to our noble cause in means of helping the sweetest members of our community, our dogs and cats. Those that have not been fortunate enough to have a loving family or roof over their heads with food or water. Help us save more lives and give the best holiday gift possible. There's no small donation, every cent counts and every single fund collected through this account will go straight to saving more and more defenseless animals so please donate and and give the gift of joy and happiness to rescued dogs, puppies, cat and kittens, it will probably be their first time these animals experience love and it will all be thanks to YOU.
