This is the second worst update we will ever write.
I truly don’t have words.
Emmett had an episode sometime in the early hours of Wednesday morning/Tuesday night. When I found him that morning he was truly barely alive. He was quickly taken to Lehi Primary Children’s where we have remained in the PICU. After 12.5 hours they were finally in a place Wednesday night to call him “stably unstable” after we thought we were losing him that afternoon. His heart, lungs, kidneys, brain and liver have sustained irreversible damage.
Watching him unconscious and in pain has been the hardest thing we’ve ever witnessed. It has been agonizing the decisions we have been faced with. Emmett’s quality of life has depleted and that has been the driving factor in the decisions we made this morning.
Jace and I have made the loving decision to bring him home. We will snuggle him and love him and give him the dignity he absolutely deserves.
He has fought through everything we have asked of him. But this is not something we can ask of him. He is valiant. He is loved beyond anything we can ever describe to you.
He has a Heavenly home waiting for him. We are so excited for his body to finally be at rest, for him to have complete independence.
We know where he’s going. We have full faith in a loving Father in Heaven.
He’s going to feel better so soon.

If anyone would like to help with final expenses, we know there is an army out there who love him. We love all of you more than you know, and Emmett does too. Thank you to everyone who helped us along the way.
