Four-Legged Fliers
Donation protected
This non-profit organization flies to areas in the United States that euthanize homeless animals to retrieve them, and then safely transport them to animal shelters. This is made possible by volunteer pilots who pay their pro-rata share of the flights and donate their time and/or aircraft for the cause.
The origin of Four-Legged Fliers began in December 2020 during the pandemic when the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) could not drive long distances to rescue animals without having to quarantine per New York State law. As a solution, Four-Legged Fliers was able to fly all the way to South Carolina, and return with fifteen dogs in less than a day therefore not needing a two-week long quarantine.
Four-Legged Fliers not only rescues and transports them, but we also actively try to find adopters for the homeless animals.
The donations to Four-Legged Fliers directly go toward funding the transports, locating adopters, and providing supplies for the homeless animals.
