Fox's Memory: Forever Three
Donation protected
Fox Sullivan Spain left his earthly body Monday, October 5, 2020 — forever three years old.
In addition to dealing with such a tragic, unexpected loss, his parents, Mitchell and Reanna Spain, are facing a tremendous financial burden. I'm asking our community for their support to help pay for Fox's medical expenses. Although we cannot ease their pain, we can alleviate this financial burden so they can focus on what truly matters — honoring and remembering Fox. Community is essential to helping them heal and carry on in a new way.
To honor Fox's spirit of helping and caring for others, Mitchell and Reanna will donate any funds received above medical expenses to local charities. They are extremely passionate about carrying on Fox's purpose to help others and will pay forward your kindness.

A Letter from Fox's Parents
Where did you come from?
From your earliest earthside days this question has replayed in our minds.
Looking into your wise and all-encompassing eyes, we knew you were otherworldly.
Our darling boy, it’s been nine days since you made your pilgrimage to the stars, unexpectedly leaving your physical body and a gaping hole in the center of our hearts and lives.
The emptiness is a lonesome, frightful place.
What brings us intermittent peace, other than the village that has surrounded us, are the many, many messages we’ve received and continue to receive from you, sweet boy. You are not gone, of that we are certain. You have simply changed forms. Now we feel you in the big gusts of wind, we hear you when we close our eyes "what are you doing Fox? Just playing, mama.", we see you when our bedroom light unexplainably turns itself on at 6:40 am - your usual wake up time.
We feel endlessly lucky to have ushered in such a joyful, spirited soul who burned bright with life during your three delightful years. The tremendous honor is never lost on us.
We watched in awe as you absorbed the world around you, thoughtfully venturing out, always towards joy. No small thing escaping your awareness. The coolness of the soil, the warmth of the sun, the softness of the breeze.
With reverence we’d witness the way you took in the world: gleaming eyes, bright, full smiles, busy hands.
We knew you were meant for something tremendous.
The first time you uttered the words “I help people” we felt heartache and wonder. Joy and concern. We knew your purpose was too great for an earthly body. We are endlessly grateful for your confidence. For your courage. It mustn’t have been easy to contain a spirit so vast and a path so powerful inside a tiny, human body. You have always been endless, only now it is so in physical form.
We can’t wait to see you in the soil and the sun.
Our unending love,
Mom & Dad
Thank you to our community, for the many thoughts, flowers, food and love.
"I've learned that the deepest joy is known by those who have also experienced the deepest pain. I've seen that unending grief is really just a sign of an unending love."
