Family in need of assistance (medical emergency)
Donation protected
Our phenomenal dad would never ask for any help, but we as a family are in dire need of assistance. On New Year’s Eve, he went to the hospital with horrific pain in his foot. He was sent home with a misdiagnosis and by Monday, he was running a high fever and his foot was completely discolored, swollen, and dad was in terrible pain.
Luckily, when he went back to the ER, they caught his infection and emergency surgery was performed on his foot, and thank God, he was able to keep his foot as of now, but he has a long road to recovery including physical therapy and rehabilitation. It seems the surgery didn’t evict the entire infection and it may have spread to the bone. They haven’t ruled out Mrsa as well.
We are hoping and praying that the infection has not spread any further to lead to amputation.
Dad is the main source of income. Although he has retired several times, he always has taken care of the family and gone back to work in order to make ends meet. At almost 80 years old, he still works in order to get all the bills paid. When our mom got cancer and again when she had two heart attacks, he went back to work again and again in order to keep their heads above water as they faced countless medical bills.
Given our mom’s medical hardships, she is unable to work and they rely on the income from his being an Uber driver. He cannot drive now and it is undetermined when he can go back to work. As a result, they don’t have any source of income to pay rent, pay bills, buy food, and just perform daily day-to-day living expenses. Any little bit you have will help and we truly appreciate it! Thank you for your thoughts and your prayers.
