Bring Sasha Home!

Hi! My name is Angie Arguello and my husband, Allan, and I had the pleasure of hosting Sasha, a 13 year old Ukrainian orphan, for Christmas. This experience has changed all of our lives for the better! It has been, by far, one of the best times of my life!

Sasha is a kind, gentle, smart, hard-working, loving boy with a laugh that is contagious. He is amazing at acrobats and his favorite things are trampoline parks, dogs, computer class, and smoothies.

He entered the orphanage at 8 years old and has been there for 5 years. His orphanage has warm water, at best, and he is allowed to shower once a week. The orphanage sometimes has heat and, other times it has none.

In many ways, he is wise beyond his years (he taught my husband how to put a trampoline together), but in other ways, he is like an 8 year old little boy who needs his mama. He often snuggles up next to me and wants me to hold him or rub his back.

From the moment we laid eyes on a single picture of this sandy-haired, blue-eyed, Ukrainian boy, we knew he belongs with our family. His time with us has only reinforced that. We absolutely love this precious boy and he is deserving all of the great things that this world has to offer!

Sasha will leave our home on January 14, 2021, for his mandatory return to Ukraine. This will be one of the hardest days we face, but there is hope through the pain! We will officially begin the adoption process when he returns. International adoptions are costly ($30,000-40,000) and lengthy (an average of a year).

The sooner we have the finances in full, the quicker the adoption will be completed. We are humbly asking for help to bring Sasha home to America in 2022. Whether it’s financial help, guidance, and/or prayers/good thoughts, we are very appreciative!
