Adalynn’s Journey

Meet Adalynn! She was born with alopecia, she has had multiple tests because of GI issues and kidney issues. She has been in and out of the hospital for years. No doctor could figure out what was going on. Adalynn saw GI, Urology, and dermatologists. Then about 2 years ago, Adalynn’s feet started cracking, peeling, and bleeding causing her so much pain. Adalynn went to a few other dermatologists who blew her and her family off. There are some days Addy won't even walk because they hurt her so bad. Last year it started spreading to her fingers. Also about a year ago her 2 front teeth started to disappear. Dentist told them it was from grinding them, but it didn't seem right since it was just the 2 front. Finally about 6 months ago Adalynn saw a dermatologist who took her case seriously, and said she thinks Adalynn’s hair loss, teeth and skin are all one condition. She sent Adalynn to a geneticist, but unfortunately insurance doesn't consider it a need so won't pay for any of the visits or testing needed to be done.
