Refresh Kits In Schools

Hello, I'm Rebecca, CEO and Founder of Refresh Kits, and I want to share a little story. One day I was at work, and a group of young girls came in looking for work experience. While they were talking, I noticed that a few of the girls showed signs of poor hygiene, and it broke my heart. I wanted to help them, but I didn't know how. So I started thinking about my journey in school. I remembered we never had showers in our schools. And I remembered how self-conscious we all felt after p.e. And I thought, 'I wish I had a kit that I could carry around with me to keep me feeling fresh throughout the day. And that's how the Refresh Kits were created.

Refresh Kits are hygiene kits for students aged 11-16. The kits consist of wet wipes, deodorant and other personal care items.

With the current cost of living crisis, many families are struggling to provide basic essentials. This means many students are going to school facing hygiene shaming for something they cannot control. On top of that some students lack proper education when it comes to personal hygiene care and the effects it has on their mental health.

Refresh Kits will help families by providing basic essentials, to relieve financial stress, teach young people about the importance of hygiene care and help improve mental well-being among young people, with the tools and resources.

And with your help, we will be able to donate 500 Refresh Kits to one secondary school in London this September. Your money will go towards buying hygiene products, bags and delivery of goods and admin costs.

I know I can't change the world, but I can change the world around me.
