“Hope for Dawson”

Update from Dawsyn’s mom Caitlin below!
Dawsyn is a 6 year old girl (although she sometimes thinks she is 16) known for her boundless energy and infectious smile. Tragedy has struck and has turned her world upside down when she was viciously mauled by a pit bull. She is being treated as trauma patient. Dawsyn has over 30 wounds covering her from head to toe.
My hope in this time is that friends, family, and even strangers can unite to help Dawsyn on her road to recovery. Not just to alleviate the financial burden on her family but to show Dawsyn that she is not alone in her fight.
Despite the darkness of this situation, Dawsyn is strong, brave and we know her spirit will remain unbroken. We hope by the outpouring of love and support, she can find the strength to keep pushing forward, one day at a time. Each donation or share, no matter how small will become a beacon of hope in her journey towards recovery.
Though the scars of her ordeal may never fully fade, I know Dawsyn will be stronger than ever, and it will be a testament to the unwavering support of those who are going to rally behind her in her darkest hour.
I want to send a huge thank you to anyone and everyone who is willing to help. Dawsyn, her younger sister who adores her and her mother will be beyond grateful for any and all support. All proceeds will be given to her Mother Caitlin Moore for any expenses they endure during this difficult time.
“Just wanted to update everyone on Dawsyn. She is doing well, lots of healing to happen, and I am sure a beast of emotional and mental trauma that has yet to surface. My ex-husband without a doubt saved her life, this all could have been much much worse. He too was attacked and has suffered multiple injuries during the save. Dawsyn is improving little by little. She is smiling a cute toothless smile as she lost a tooth in the dog attack. But I’ll take that beautiful smile in ANY capacity! I do want to take a moment and show gratitude for each and every one of you who have reached out, in all different forms, to be there for us. I cannot even begin to describe how moved I have been by all of you. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you!” -Caitlin
