Team Tommy

Donation protected
On 6/19/2019 the Stackhouse family’s life was turned upside down. Tommy Stackhouse was diagnosed with AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  Before that day I only knew Tommy as a manager for the Bangor Slaters football team. I personally knew what the Stackhouse family was about to embark on because just 4 short years ago another fellow Slater was diagnosed with a similar form of Leukemia. I had never met the Stackhouse family but I knew that they would need support. I have seen first hand what this community has done for families in need.
In the months to come Tommy will be heading down to CHOP to undergo a bone marrow transplant. That will require days, weeks and possibly even months staying close to the hospital. While there are programs such as the Ronald McDonald house, they are not free.
In order to eliminate or at least cushion the stress they are already under I would like to ask our Slate Belt Community to come together, yet again, and help out the Stackhouse family.  Those of you that know Shelly and Rob know that they would be there to step up for any of us so let’s step up for them!! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me through this page or Facebook.  Thanks everyone.
