Fr. John Brucciani, SSPX, 25th Anniversary!

Hello everyone!

My name is Brian Poe and I am raising money to celebrate Fr. John Brucciani's 25th anniversary of his priestly ordination. He was ordained by Bishop Tissier de Mallerais SSPX on June 29th, 1998 in Econe, Switzerland. Since that day, he has tackled many parish duties as young clerics are called to do.

Besides teaching in the UK, Father also taught for years at SSPX schools in France. In Toulouse, France, Father raised funds for his school by making recordings of Aesop's fables. It was while he was the Prior in Nancy, France, that he needed a large fundraising campaign for the SSPX school and found that his greatest resource was the young, dear, St. Philomena. With another successful school and church fundraising project behind him, he was assigned to his first post in the US in Armada, Michigan (the birthplace of the SSPX in the US). He would be Prior and Principal again and relied upon to begin another rebuilding project at St. Joseph's Church and School.

Father Brucciani was in Armada for three years and called again upon his close friend, St. Philomena, to help raise money for a new school there. At the end of those crucial years, St. Joseph's had a new church, school, and property and continues to thrive! Deo Gratias! Father was then called to the Regina Coeli house in Platte City, Missouri to be the bursar of the US District. After a quick 'tidying up' there in British fashion, he became Prior in Veneta, Oregon until 2017 when he was reassigned to St. Michael's School in Burghclere, UK. Father has been busy teaching, administrating, and navigating Covid lockdowns in the UK, as well as taking on the burdens of his parishioners as every priest does. Always optimistic, Father is now consolidating and building another new church and school at St. Michael's for the glory of God and the edification of his flock. Fr. Brucciani is grateful to God for his vocation and would like to use the occasion of his 25th anniversary to raise funds to purchase an altar stone for St. Michael's church.

Perhaps you knew Fr. John Brucciani as a parishioner of his when he was here in the United States. Maybe you were served by him briefly at your mission parish; you can hardly forget his deep baritone English accent! Regardless, we all have a debt of gratitude to pay for the service and sacrifice of the holy priesthood. Let's celebrate the faithfulness of this Alter Christus by funding an altar stone that will be used in the 'most beautiful sight this side of Heaven", the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
