"Fragmented" - MFA Choreographer Anthony Wade Jr

Hello! Steffi Carter here, professional choreographer, certified ballet teacher — and creator of Renversé Ballet (RB), a virtual platform committed to classical ballet diversity.

I met Anthony Wade Jr at the University of Roehampton (London, UK). He is an endlessly dynamic dancer and a passionate, compelling choreographer. Tony's movement is classically rooted while highly contemporary, fearless, frenetic, grounded, and gripping.

This spring, this exciting BIPOC artist completes his MFA in Choreography! Tony's degree culminates in May, with a performance of his original thesis production, Fragmented.

Because UK universities do not keep costume inventories, MFA choreographers must cover production costs entirely out-of-pocket. Tony is trying to costume 10 dancers and hire a videographer to capture performance footage for professional use.
