Fran Winslow's Memorial & Cremation

My name is Jordan Winslow, and I am Fran's youngest son. Yesterday, Fran had a heart attack and collapsed in the arms of my mother, Karen Winslow while waiting for the ambulance to show up.

Karen needs my help more than ever and I will be temporarily moving from California to North Carolina to assist in this massive and tragic change in her life, as well as to help organize my father's memorial.

The memorial and cremation services for our loved one Fran were estimated to us by a local church to be around $4000. We are doing our best to get that figure down by researching different locations near Fletcher, North Carolina to hold the memorial service and researching locations for the cremation service.

There are many huge decisions which must be made now, none of them easy. Karen's life will never be the same as she was completely reliant on Fran for physical, financial and emotional support. 

The last thing I want her to stress and cry over is financial issues, so I am setting up this gofundme account in order to help pay for cremation costs and memorial service. 

Any excess funds from this gofundme that are not used for cremation and memorial services will go toward helping my Mother & Fran's Wife, Karen as her health has been rapidly deteriorating and she is unable to care for herself.

I will be able to handle most of the physical labor, logistics and emotional support but personally I have absolutely nothing to offer financially (in fact I am paying for the plane tickets to North Carolina with credit cards)

Any help would be going toward easing this process for Karen so we don't lose another loved one as the result of the emotional and financial stress. I have told her that Keith, Myself, Laurie and Shannon will help handle as many logistical details as we can so that she doesn't have to stress about it, and part of that will be determining how on earth we will be able to afford this memorial and aid in this transition in Karen's life.
