Frances Bunn Student Award

Professor Frances Bunn died in June 2022 after living with bowel cancer for 20 months. She was Professor of Health and Complex Conditions at the University of Hertfordshire, in the Centre for Research in Public Health and Community Care. Frances was a highly valued and influential colleague and a supportive friend to many within and beyond the University.

 

Frances requested that any money raised via the University be used to support postgraduate research students. We have set up a fund that will be awarded to a research student (or students) who exhibit some of Frances' characteristics in terms of tenacity, integrity and insight into conducting high-quality health and care research. We collected more than £1,000 when Frances retired in October 2021 and now wish to supplement this fund before awarding it to a student(s) in the coming months in her memory.
