Our beloved mother, Francesca Hamilton, passed away very suddenly on the 8th of August, 2024, leaving us all heartbroken and in complete shock. As a family, we are now working to give her the farewell she truly deserves.
Mum was the most generous, selfless, funny, and loving person. She devoted her entire life to raising a large family, always ensuring we had the best she could offer and that we never went without.
In 2006, Mum completed her third degree while working for the NHS, raising five children, and in recent years, caring for our disabled father. Two years ago, on top of his long-term disabilities, our dad suffered a stroke, leaving him bedbound and in need of 24-hour care, most of which Mum provided herself.
Mum cherished any spare time she had, which she always spent with her family. She was a devoted mother and nanny to her five grandchildren, not to mention her three rescue dogs.
She loved to cook and bake, often experimenting with quirky recipes on us kids. Most were delicious, though some were a bit too adventurous! Mum had a habit of sending us away with bags full of essentials, treats, and random items she picked up from the Company Shop or charity shop. She had a knack for finding bargains and believed nothing should go to waste. Even as we grew into adulthood with families of our own, she continued to take care of us.
She was the best Mum and Nanny in the world, and we hope to give back to her even a fraction of what she gave to us.
In this difficult time, any donations will go towards covering Mum's funeral costs and would mean the world to our family.
We are still reeling from the shock of Mum's unexpected passing. Sadly, we’ve discovered that she had no insurance or coverage in place, and with Dad’s current situation, it has become our responsibility, as her children, to gather the funds and make the necessary arrangements.
Any excess funds will be donated to Sands Charity, an organisation that was very close to Mum's heart.
