My name is Jeffrey. Louisa (Swithenbank) Frets is my Daughter. Francesca (Franny) Swithenbank was my ex-Wife and great friend. Franny passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, 30 April 2024. As a Family, our goal is to repatriate Franny to her home in England. Fran's only wish, to be buried next to her Father Michael and Sister's Louisa and Henrietta, who proceed her in death.
Franny was visiting her only Daughter Louisa and Family, here in Kansas City. She came to meet her new (only) Grandson Ollie, 4 months old. Louisa was on maternity leave. While here, Franny enjoyed rare and precious moments with Louisa and new born Ollie. We all shared in Fran's love and excitement over the past 2 months. There were many family gatherings and social events to enjoy. Franny and Ollie went to their very first Royals baseball game together!
More importantly, she enjoyed very, very loving time with Lou, husband Kyle and Ollie. They enjoyed long nature-walks and local outings in KC. Franny loved the outdoors, rain or shine. She took notice of everything, all the flowers, all the trees, all the wild life. She loved absolutely watching the birds. Especially the Red (Northern) Cardinal, but felt they were a bit shy.
Louisa was on her first day back to work (from home). Francesca after a lovely morning, was off with little Ollie in his pram for a nice little walk. Not two blocks from the house Franny suffered instant and catastrophic heart failure.
We are forever grateful for two separate young men who jumped into action to protect Ollie and call 911 Emergency Services. One of whom, James smartly identified and sent Police to Louisa's home.
Francesca was 62 years of age.
Fran detailed in her Last Will and Testament to be interned at All Saints Church, East Norton England. The most beautiful of places, just a short walk from her childhood home.
As no one could have imagined that she would pass so young nor while on holiday to the States. Fran would not have wished this logistical and costly endeavour on her family. However, we here and family in the UK are sure now that she had not purchased travel insurance.
All monies will be used for cargo cost and the exuberant flight (time of year) arrangements for Louisa, Kyle and Oliver to accompany Francesca Home. As well the transport cost for Fran's coffin to and from Funeral Homes here and in the UK.
Fran was deeply loved by many. Her attributes were too many to mention here. She was the greatest friend, Mother and Granny!
Franny and Louisa were inseparable, mother/daughter, sisters in motherhood, and best friends forever.
The funeral date is pending as we have to wait and find out when she can get on a flight.
Thank you for the Love, Concern and Support already given.
Sincerely, Jeffrey Roper.
