Dear family, friends and patrons of the arts,
I am currently pursuing my lifelong dream to have a career as an opera singer. I am expected to graduate this May from the Peabody Institute with a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance. While this is a significant milestone, the most challenging phase lies ahead: breaking into the opera industry. This step can be made through auditioning for companies and programs to gain experience and build connections in the community. I have received an exciting opportunity that could propel me forward in my dream. The Miami Music Festival has invited me to perform in their production of Die Zauberflöte as the First Lady. This is an imperative role in the opera, serving as an wicked force meant to bring Pamina back to her evil mother, the Queen of the Night. This opportunity involves rigorous training, scheduled masterclasses and lessons, as well as an admirable alumni division meant to give support to previous MMF artists through professional paid engagements. I would make indispensable connections with industry professionals from around the world while receiving intense artistic training from esteemed opera faculty. The productions themselves involve a full scale orchestra, as well as high-class directors, set and light designers, and costumers; ultimately ranking at one of the top opera programs in the world.
I have been working two jobs to support myself while I finish school, but unfortunately I had to leave one of those jobs this past December. The decision to leave was difficult but necessary in order to focus on my studies and performances. However, this change has put a strain on my finances and made it challenging to meet the tuition requirements for this program, prompting me to seek support. An experience like this is expensive, but well worth it, and anything you would be willing to contribute to help would be greatly appreciated. With a contribution of $25 or more, I will send a personal thank you video expressing my gratitude. Anyone who makes a contribution of $50 or more will receive a free, high-quality video recording of the performance. The funds should ideally be received by May 1st of this year, 2024. My venmo is @francifranci and my cashapp is $sweetcoves if you would like to make a donation without any fees being taken out.
Your support means the world to me as I continue pursue my passion, and I am deeply grateful for any help you can provide.
With love,
