Once again, I'm overwhelmed by all the love, prayers and support. I don't think I could ever convey how grateful I am to all of you. Thank you so very much!
Well, here's the latest, I just got the results of my newest scans and I'm more scared now because I placed a lot of hope on the chemo pill yet the tumors keep growing and the side effects are worsening. I start radiation next week but that's to remove a few easy tumors that cause excruciating pain. At this point, I don't know how much longer I'll be in Los Angeles or what my next course of treatment will be. Our Francessca cries almost every time we talk, as our separation is harder than her little heart can handle. I hope to be home for the holidays, but I'm slowly realizing that may not be possible.
I know the importance of the body and mind connection, so I am so glad I visited my sisters (both battling cancer) in the East Coast. I have spent quality time, with my sisters and their families, and we found strength in our reunion and encouragement to continue the fight.
As Mom drove passsed New York City, from New Jersey to Connecticut, and back, we steered away, I have to believe that New York is another trip, for another day.
And finally I realized I was being selfish by not accepting the monetary offers and miles. Like the first time I signed up for GoFundMe in 2017, I did it, not so much for us, but for those who really wanted to help us, but felt helpless. I set up this gofundme for those of you who would like to donate to help us during this challenging time.
If you would rather mail a note or card, please private message me for my cousins' address in Los Angeles. I promise a beautiful, hertfelt card or note with no money, carries the same value as a $20 bill.
I am so grateful for all your loving gestures and offers to help. Si yu'os ma'ase!
