"You must strive to find your own voice. Because the longer you wait to begin, the less likely you are to find it at all. Thoreau said, 'Most men lead lives of quiet desperation.' Don't be resigned to that. Break out! Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary...." - Dead Poet’s Society
Francisco "Panchito" Salazar Fierro lived life just as those words above describe; with passion, music, friends, family and above all, love. His faith and spirituality was interwoven poetically throughout, creating the philosophical nature that inspired him every day. He dreamed big dreams, and he lived to make a difference in this world. That is what his soul did to everyone near him; like a maelstrom of passionate energy, we were drawn in with no hope of escaping his enthusiasm and vigor for life. It's why so many loved him, so many gravitated toward him; it's also why it is so difficult for so many of his family & friends to carry on. But carry on we must - for him. The first step in our healing is to celebrate this amazing life Frank lived.
Frank "Panchito" passed away this past Saturday January 29th. He is survived by his mother, Norma, and his siblings Daniel and Christina, as well as his niece & nephew Emma and Max. He leaves behind a wake of family and friends who fiercely loved him.
This Memorial Fund has been set up to aid his family during this time of grieving and remembrance as they prepare for his celebration of life (time and date forthcoming).
We deeply thank you in advance for any contribution, whether by donating money here or by donating time helping in any capacity in our efforts to celebrate Frank. We are grateful to join you in each of our own ways to thank him for making our lives a little more passionate, a little more exciting, possibly a little more precarious, but most importantly, a whole lot better. I hope we all can take lessons from you, Pancho, and strive to contribute our own verse in this powerful song called life, like you always did so well. May all who loved Frank find peace in this time of grieving, yet also ponder the question that Frank asked of himself and would ask of you: "What will your verse be?"
