Frank & Nathalia

Donation protected

Hey guys, my name is Livia. I created this GoFundMe for my sister Nathalia and her husband Frank. Please help with whatever you can - donations or prayers,  all are appreciated.

Their story in Nathalia’s words:

As we got married on July 25,2015, we vowed to live together through sickness and health and till death do us part. Like most, we never really think too much about those words. In 2017 my husband was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer called PEComa. It’s a cancer that just chooses you. It started as a tumor in his pelvis and soon spread to his lungs. When we finally caught it, it was already stage 4.  That same year we became pregnant by a miracle, but unfortunately ended up losing our baby girl when I was only 17 weeks.

We knew God was with us as we fought through the rest of 2018. My husband Frank went through 28 sessions of proton radiation to the pelvis area and two major surgeries. In one of the surgeries, they removed a tumor the size of a grapefruit from his pelvis and in the second they also removed a few nodules from his lungs. Life slowly started going back to normal, but he had to remain on medications to keep any more of the cancer from spreading. We then decided to go through with IVF since we were told we wouldn’t be able to have children normally after all of his radiation. We quickly became pregnant and our beautiful daughter Melissa was born at 28 weeks. She spent 136 days in the NICU, but finally came home healthy. While that happened God sent us another miracle and I became pregnant with our little boy Noah. I am due on November 23,2020.

We were super excited to know our lives were changing for the better until my husband’s last doctors visit. We found out the medication stopped working and the cancer has multiplied and spread to his liver and all the other nodules have increased in size. He has gotten a port put in and has begun chemo once a week. Doctors are not confident enough to believe this new medication will work and soon we will find out if he will need more aggressive chemo. And if that’s the case, that chemo will only be to prolong my husband’s life a little bit more. Till death do we part, but by miracles we can also live.
