Update : Frank Cognetta's Cancer Fight

Dear Friends - as of August 10th, Staten Island resident Frank Cognetta, age 49 and longtime Secretary Treasury of UFCW Local 1-D continues to be in the battle of his life. As previously reported, Frank has been diagnosed with liver, stomach and esophagus cancer and has been homebound since February 2024. On July 30th, 2024, after months of radiation and chemo treatments, Frank went under the knife at Mount Sinai in NYC. However, as soon as surgery started, surgeon Dr. Flores observed several additional lesions in Frank’s liver and made the decision to close Frank up immediately and NOT operate to avoid spreading the cancer further. When we started this Go Fund Me campaign, we had a goal of reaching $15,000 because Frank has no income and is not receiving unemployment. Frank is the proud father of four girls - Jasmine, age 25 (who is living with cerebral palsy and spinal bifida), Angelina: age 16, Audriana: age 13 and little Luciana: age 6. He has been married to his loving wife Danielle since 2007. Can you please dig deep and help us reach our goal? Frank needs our help urgently.
