Frank Dominguez Memorial Educational Legacy

Please do not drink and drive. I lost my father last Saturday May 25 at around 7:45AM in Menifee from someone that was drunk/high and killed my father going 119 mph in a residential area while my dad was waiting for the light to turn green. I’m trying to think of the positive as the drunk driver could of hit a van full of children going to breakfast and I know in an instant my dad would rather it be him. He was that type of person. My dad was a great father who just recently retired and had plans to travel. He was a great family person and always loved to help others. My dad Frank Dominguez literally paid for my friends and random strangers who couldn’t afford college. Frank saw potential in people that they couldn’t see in themselves. He was my mentor, the person I turned toward for my problems, bestfriend and even gym partner. He worked so hard he could enjoy the retirement life, but won’t be able to enjoy it because of someone’s bad choice. The DUI driver Riccardo Raul Saenz survived with minor injuries. I pray for the DUI driver family as his actions not only effected mine, but his as well. Please Uber or Lyft somewhere. If you can’t afford one please let me know and I will pay for it.

What would honor my dad’s legacy is for money to be raised for a charity event. A few weeks prior to him passing my father and I got involved with Rancho Damacitas empowerment. My father truly believed in the program as it helped single moms with college tuitions and helped single moms get a second chance at life.  Frank was a true believer that education was the key to success. My father lived the American Dream.  He moved to the United States as a teenager born in poverty and was able to obtain his  Jurdis Doctor degree of law.  With his success, Frank was able to be influential in society by helping others obtain degrees and change the cycle of poverty. While I lost my father, maybe us as a community can help save a few moms lives and give them hope. Hope for a better future. My father would smile from heaven if we can turn this tragic event into something positive.

My fathers celebration of life will be held at Saint Martha Catholic Church June 3 at 11AM-2PM. Address is 37200 Whitewood Road Murrieta Ca 92563. Everyone is invited to attend (even the family of the driver that killed my father). Please do not dress in suits as he was the more causal Friday person and it was only Monday.
