On June 5, 2021 around 8:00 p.m. my dad, Frank Fabozzi, was in a horrible motorcycle accident. He was taken by ambulance to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce. He suffered a severe broken arm, shoulder, and he broke his hip in two places, along with severe road rash on his arm. They are still performing CT scans and x-rays to see if there are more injuries that went undetected. He already had surgery to repair and place hardware in his arm, but he is on blood thinners for heart disease; therefore, they could not operate on any of his other injuries at that time due to excessive bleeding. He does not have medical insurance at the moment and he will be out of work for a very long time. He does construction for a living (fixing up bathrooms, replacing windows and doors, fencing, etc.) which is strenuous. We are unsure at the moment if he will ever fully recover enough to continue construction work. As of right now, they believe he will be in the hospital for a few weeks, but that is the best case scenario. He will then have to be transferred to a rehab facility for his hip and for his arm/shoulder.
Everyone knows, medical treatment is not cheap, especially when not insured. Although, the expenses are the least of our worries right now, as we are just hoping and praying for his health and recovery, it is definitely going to hurt him financially.
Anything is appreciated, even just your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you in advance,
Alyssa
