GARCIA MORTUARY
Frank Thomas Garcia
( October 06, 1985 - March 19, 2023 )
With sadness we announce the passing of Frank Thomas Garcia 37, on March 19, 2023. Frank was a loving husband, an amazing father, a wonderful son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin and great friend to many. Frank married the love of his life Ann Marie in 2009. He was overly proud of his 2 beautiful children Frank Jr. 6, and Angellina 1, and the life they created.
His favorite past times were being out in nature. Spending time at the beach, bodyboarding, hiking, and long runs were some of his favorite things to do outdoors. Frank enjoyed going on long runs and hikes with the kids either in a hiking backpack or jogger. He loved making memories with his family from traveling, monster truck shows, air shows, cruises, to having bonfires and making s'mores in the backyard. When he was away at work, the kids looked forward to their daily facetimes. Angellina quickly became a Daddy's girl making it hard for anyone else to get time with Frank; as she ran around the house with the phone.
Frank dedicated his life to serving the people. As a young man he dreamed of becoming a firefighter with extreme dedication, hard work, determination, and the will to never give up so he can accomplish his dream. Frank was a career public servant starting his career as an explorer with Oxnard Fire, working for the U.S. Forest Service for 10 years, 3 years with Cal Fire, and the past year with Fort Hunter Liggett Fire Department. His love for service did not stop when he clocked out. You could often find Frank lending a helping hand to a neighbor or strangers. One of the many moments was while he was out bodyboarding he and his friend saved a father and daughter from drowning. He did not hesitate to risk his life for others. He was a hero on and off duty. He will be greatly missed by his family, community, and his firefighter brothers.
Frank attended El Rio Elementary School, Rio Del Valle Middle School, graduated from Rio Mesa High School in 2003. He went through the fire academy at Oxnard College.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Ann Marie, son Frank, daughter Angellina, his father Abel Garcia Jr., his mother Mary Ann Garcia, his brother Abel Garcia III (wife Gabriela), sister Breanna Sarti (Husband Gabriel). He is reunited in Heaven with his grandfather Abel Garcia Sr., grandfather Frank Prado, grandmother Simona Prado, also Ann Marie's father Charlie Angell.
