Frank J. Massa Jr.

Hello, We are Frank J. Massa Jr. 's son and daughter, Frank and Lisa, unfortunately he passed away not realizing life was so short. Frank J. Massa, Jr., age 79, died peacefully 6am Sunday, December 24, 2023. He was living in Port St. Lucie, FL, for the past few years, originally from Old Lyme, CT. He was born to the late Frank J. Sr. and Lucie Ciaffiglione Massa, of Wethersfield, CT. He was a graduate of Buckley High School in Hartford, CT and the University of Miami in Florida.

Frank built a home and raised his family in Plainville, CT. He had a life-long love for the ocean, boating and fishing were his passion. In his younger years, he found joy in building and flying model airplanes, as well as having his pilot’s license to fly airplanes. He was very mechanically inclined and could fix just about anything, even remodel a whole kitchen or bathroom at times. Frank’s musical talents shone bright when he played the organ; he used to play the organ in the evenings, at a local restaurant. He was a dedicated teacher for over 37 years in Hartford, CT.

After retiring, lived in Old Lyme, CT and later moved to Port St. Lucie, FL. Frank enjoyed grilling, cooking, trying new recipes, and buying unique kitchen gadgets. He found joy sitting outside watching and listening to birds, as well as reading and doing Sudoku puzzles. He enjoyed spending his time going on picnics with his loving companion, Maureen, down on Jensen Beach, FL.

We are here trying to raise funds for the cremation, funeral home costs, and end of life expenses. Any size donation will be helpful.
