In memory of Frank J. Wadley Sr. - Covid-19
Donation protected
These days of uncertainty are tough for all of us and if you are like me, you probably don’t think this invisible enemy / virus will get close enough to really impact you other than self quarantining to help flatten the curve and save lives. That changed for my family on April 15th, 2020.
Frank J. Wadley Sr., a man of God, husband, a father, a brother, an uncle and a friend, passed away from Covid-19 complications after testing negative. Frank was employed for 25 years with the City of Pittsburgh Environmental Services. His passion to serve the community was demonstrated by his dedication to his employer; working in vulnerable environments during the global pandemic.
Losing Frank, the backbone of the family was very unexpected. He served the community in various capacities outside of work and was well respected for his character, pleasant and unique personality; he was very amiable - if you knew him, you know that he could light up any room that he walked in, and for his spirituality. He was closely knitted to God, a member and server of The Lord’s church in Monroeville for over 25 years. Lastly but certainly not least, Frank should have been famous. He had a new tune everyday and a voice so lively that it could give life to the lifeless.
His wife, Sherrie Wadley, is left to grieve him and maintain a lifestyle that he supported for 18 years. She is also left still grieving a daughter (my cousin, military veteran Monique Pressley) and caring for the other children.
I really don’t think anyone can prepare for the amount of damage that has recently been charged to this family. The family is beyond broken and this pandemic has nearly defeated them, especially after barely healing from other recent obstacles.
To top things off, as you are aware, no one can really be there to physically comfort them so in order to help, we are creating this account to help cover expenses during this time of grief - hoping that it will allow them to solely focus on mourning his death. I am not sure what the future looks like for the family but I know it will never be the same. Please help Frank's family with an uncertain future by sending them a donation. Anything helps and we appreciate your generosity. The funds will be directly sent to Sherrie W.
Please be safe and take the recommended precautions - this virus does not discriminate.
