Frank, Makinna and Bobbie Carroll

Frank and Makinna had only been married one month when they were presented with an opportunity to care for a baby. A family member was having a baby boy and wasn't able to care for him. Frank and Makinna stepped in immediately without any question. They would care for this baby boy and take the steps to adopt him. He was family and they would do anything and everything to give this baby boy a wonderful love filled life. Baby Bobbie was born in Florida and Makinna went to Florida to become Bobbie's guardian during the adoption process. Frank is living in Washington working full time as a surgical scrub technologist. Frank and Makinna have been faced with obstacle after obstacle and it is all very expensive. The legal process is not nearly over. Frank and Makinna have sold everything they can, depleted their savings, and cashed out any retirement possible and borrowed as much as they can. They are a humble couple and would never ask for a hand out. Frank has said 'we should be able to do it ourselves' and he will do anything and everything to get Bobbie's adoption finalized. It's been so taxing and many discouragements along the way. Frank and Makinna have been living apart now, her in Florida with Bobbie and he in Washington, longer than they have been married.
