Frank Wayne Long "Uncle Wayne": Great Man - Help Support Him

Hello All! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Many of you may have known my Uncle Wayne, Frank Wayne Long. He was the most loving and peaceful person. His sweet spirit led him to always be of help to his family.

In 2023, he was unfortunately diagnosed with not one but two cancers, Lung Cancer and Multiple Myeloma. In the face of these two heavy diagnoses, he remained positive and kept the faith. We decided that we would seek the best care possible. So we did! We took him to the best, MD Anderson. Despite taking him there to seek care, we were unable to get him enrolled as a patient due to an administrative circus.

This didn't discourage him. Instead, he decided to seek care at his local hospital. He received care there from 2023 until November 13, 2024.

It was on November 12, 2024, that he was admitted to the hospital in preparation to change his chemotherapy treatment and to undergo two simple procedures, stent placement and central line access for chemotherapy. During this simple procedure, a catastrophic error occurred during the stent placement and he tragically passed away.

We are posting this because this tragic loss was unexpected and has taken a heavy toll on the family.

Unfortunately, my uncle, who was a man who always had his affairs in order, became unable to do so due to the impact the cancer had made on his ability to work.

We are reaching out on this Thanksgiving week to thank God for the life of Frank Wayne Long and to ask for your help to support his arrangements.

Unfortunately, this Thanksgiving is very different for us due to these circumstances. We pray that God continues to bless you and your family.
