Frankies Local Newsagent Braidholm Road Giffnock
Donation protected
Hi my name is David,
I have lived in Giffnock for the last year after moving from Glenmill estate in Darnley! I am from Giffnock originally & moved back last year. Since August this year Scottish water have been working on a flood prevention scheme which is due to last for 14 months! Our local newsagent Frankies on Braidholm Road has lost a huge amount of customers due to the road closure of Braidholm road & surrounding streets. Due to this the shop has been losing an unsustainable amount of money over the last couple of months & are being forced into closure. That coupled with the cost of living has crippled the local store that was used & loved by so many residents of Giffnock. The owner has been in touch with the local council, MP’s as well as Scottish Water directors all of whom have offered no help or support! I am asking everyone who has an interest in keeping this local shop open to please help raise some funds to help the owner & his family. It is his livelihood & most importantly his life. It is disgraceful that Scottish water can do this to local a local Business & get away with it! Let’s help!!!!!
