Franklin's Prosthetic Leg (recent amputation)
Donation protected
My name is Drue Warner, and I'm trying to help raise the final amount of money necessary for a prosthetic leg desperately needed by my longtime friend, Franklin Thomas. The short story is that, on Christmas Day, Franklin unexpectedly had his right leg amputated below the knee (due to a 3-day sudden onset of gangrene).
As Franklin continues his journey of recovery, he has had a prosthetic leg custom-made for him, but he has run out of money and does not have the funds necessary to cover the remaining insurance premium costs and the co-pay cost of the prosthetic.
Franklin's mobility is severely impacted, but a prosthetic will be a total game-changer, especially as relates to his mobility, ability to earn an income, and ability to continue caring for his 92-year-old mother.
Close friends and family have already committed $4,150 (of the total $6,400 needed) to help cover these expenses but approximately $2,250 in funds are still needed. I've been assisting Franklin since January as he's taken huge financial hits for insurance, hospital, and rehab.
My wife and I and a few other friends of Franklin's have each committed to give $600 (or more), and a church is giving $1,200. If you are compelled to give, any gift of any amount (i.e., $50, $100, $300, $500, 1,500, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your consideration and your prayers!
