Franklyn Decker's Hospital Funds

Donation protected
Hello my friends, family, Penn State community, and whomever else may read this:
Someone so so good, so very near and dear to my heart, Franklyn Decker, has unfortunately passed away. He had apparently experienced a pretty severe asthma attack on the night of June 28th, which resulted in him losing consciousness and needing CPR performed on him. Franklyn was admitted to Mount Nittany Health Center that night, then transferred to Hershey Medical, where he then spent two weeks in the ICU in a coma, and on life support. He passed after these two weeks. Anyone who knew Franklyn knows that, aside from complaints about asthma, Franklyn was in really good health. He was active in all aspects of his life. He was set to graduate soon from Penn State at University Park with a B.S. of Biology, with the Neuroscience emphasis. He'd spent the summer working through MCAT study books in order to apply to NYU's medical school. He'd been a learning assistant for several classes, so he was a familiar and helpful person for many.  He'd also participated in university-led trips to Haiti to help the communities there-it's a project that he'd been really passionate about during his time at PSU and which really helped him make the most of his time here while meeting great people. Outside of the classroom, Franklyn was just as extraordinary-I've yet to meet someone who didn't like him. He was kind, considerate, funny, goofy, light-hearted, intelligent, motivated, happy, understanding, compassionate, humble and down-to-earth, fun-loving and adventurous, and there's so much more to him that I can't even put into words. He's one of the most genuinely good people I've ever met, genuine of heart, mind, and soul. He'd put immense work into his college career, and had incredible goals to accomplish. I wish with all of my heart and soul that his path had remained as he'd planned. His family was there since day one, and a few friends and I went to offer our prayers and support. It's a crazy situation that called on everyone's faith-in their own God and in Franklyn. Franklyn lost his life too soon, and that's astronomically unfair, but he will always hold a special place in my heart and the hearts of many, many more. His family and friends, and I know Franklyn, appreciate all the hope, prayers, love, and positive energy sent his way and towards his family who spent their days with him, the doctors who worked to sustain him. This ordeal is taxing in every way it can be, and one way that we can help his family as Franklyn's community is financially. Franklyn put so much good into his life and those around him, I think he deserved even more back, and that hasn't changed, and this will really help his family out. Our goal is small considering the full expenses, but once we achieve that we'll increase it. Every donation helps, and passing this around to those you know helps immensely and is incredibly appreciated. I'm grateful for this, and many others are too, more than words can say.
Rest in Paradise Franklyn- I miss you, and I'm sending my love to you and yours.
