Frank's Lymphoma Healing Journey
Donation protected
After a sudden trip to the ER a couple weeks back, an emergency surgery and biopsy... we got the news that no one wants to hear - our Dad, Frank, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Low Grade Follicular Lymphoma last week.
Over the past year, he's had a few rounds of stomach episodes. The first one we actually all passed off as food poisoning as the symptoms matched exactly. In September he had another episode for a day or so. Finally, at the end of October, the stomach episode became so severe that he was rushed to the emergency room and referred for surgery. But it just got worse and the next day he was back in the ER and admitted for hospitalization.
He had small bowel resection surgery the next day to remove the mass that was literally blocking his ability to digest/pass food. They removed 6 inches of small intestine and the tumor. The area also had enlarged lymph nodes.
A long week of waiting turned into the diagnosis and now we'll continue with further scans to get the full picture.
We’re heading down a journey that no one opts for but Dad is optimistic and honestly feeling very good. (after the tumor was removed from his small intestine!) He has no current symptoms aside from the previous stomach episodes and for that we are so grateful.
Dad is eagerly choosing an integrative approach to healing and treatment which means treating the patient, not solely the disease. It means digging deep to the root cause of the cancer & the best ways for his body to heal.
Dad is having further scans and consults in the coming weeks to choose the integrative cancer clinic that best fits for him. The treatment clinics are a large investment and there will be additional expenses for travel for our parents, pet care and further treatments along this journey.
We are fundraising to help our parents remove some of the financial burden that comes with this diagnosis and treatment.
Many of you know that our Dad runs his own small business full time and we also welcome support in that way too!

If you are unable to donate, prayers, good thoughts, healing energy and a “share” of this go a long way.
If you don't know our Dad, he's an amazing father, loving husband, an optimist, a woodworker, a veteran, and lover of fishing and the outdoors as well as his best pal Odie. We're on this journey alongside him.
Thank you so much for caring!
