Help Dylan get back to living after tragic accident
Donation protected
Dylan is a vibrant, caring, and hardworking 46-year-old who loves nature and his family. He suffered a severe accident while hosting his brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew on vacation at his home in Ashville, NC.
While out with his brother mountain biking on trails, he was involved in a horrific crash that fractured five ribs with pneumothorax and shoulder level 5 AC joint separation with torn muscles that required a specialty surgeon and a four-hour surgery.
The injuries left him unable to work for an undetermined length of time and with a 5-6 month recovery period. Without being able to work, he is not able to make ends meet and has used all his savings to get by. Dylan has insurance, but it does not cover the majority of his medical expenses.
Dylan Bartlett grew up in Albany, IN, and graduated from Delta High School. He spent time in Jamaica living with a local family, learning how fishing sustained the family and the local village. This experience gave him a perspective that became engrained in him as an avid advocate for natural ecosystems and living his daily life supporting environmental sustainability.
I've created this GoFundMe because I've known Dylan since he was a little boy. My youngest son was named after him. I am hoping if anyone can spare a few dollars, we can collectively help Dylan get back on his feet, back to work, and out doing beautiful things again that make this world a better place to share.
