Fred. A dog who was dumped twice
Donation protected
Hi my name is Fred. If you are unfamiliar with me here is a little background. In September I wandered into a yard. The kind lady that saw me, enlisted the help of her neighbour, and with a lot of patience they caught me. There had been sightings of me posted on Facebook pages for the past few weeks. I was hungry, skinny, alone and scared. My rescuers caught me and got me to the Animal Control to see if I was microchipped or if my owner was looking for me. No one came forward. It seems I was dumped. The staff at the Township named me Fred.
Fast forward to the end of November when the township posted that if I wasn't adopted by December the 14th then I would be euthanized. My post went viral and lots of people were rallying around to help me (including my rescuers). I was even adopted.
On December 26th I was found wandering at large near a busy road (no tag and no collar). Some kind people found me and took me in to their home. They think that I had been out there over night. I was dumped again. Not a very nice Christmas gift for me. I have found my way back to the people who rescued me the first time.
Fred is a beautiful loving soul who has been let down by most people in his life. Fred does not deserve euthanasia, life on a chain or to be left to fend for himself.
Fred has been dumped 2x but not this time!! My neighbour and I are making sure Fred gets all of his veterinarian care. We are fostering Fred. After he has been neutered and vaccinated then he will be adopted out to a loving home where he will never have to worry again.
We know so many people rallied around Fred when he was going to be euthanized. We are hoping that his community will rally around him now to help pay for his veterinarian care. We cannot do it alone. Fred he needs his village.
We will post updates as his vetting gets completed. Fred will be going up for adoption at a later date but we will be very picky about who adopts him. Fred deserves the best.
