Fred Forever: climbing mountains in your honour

On May 25th 2023, I lost my older brother Fred to a sudden heart attack, despite him never being diagnosed with any underlying heart issues. Matters of the heart were always important to Fred, as he often wondered - why did young people die from sudden heart attacks? Not knowing that he would be one of these people. Fred was the most supportive and caring brother that one could ever ask for. He was the light of every room and touched everyone that had ever met him. This year I plan to climb the highest mountains in the UK in honour of Fred and raise money for charitable causes that were dear to him. This story is undoubtedly about Fred, but allow me to introduce myself. My name is Adam Zoromba, and this journey that I have set for myself is to inspire those that are struggling with grief and loss, as I still struggle with these feelings regularly. Although we cannot change the fact that our loved ones are not with us physically, we can use these emotions to undertake journeys and experiences that honour our loved ones and raise awareness for important causes, especially those of the heart.
