Fred Liggett Memorial Fund

Fred Liggett was a hero and a public servant. He spent more than twenty years serving his country while raising three beautiful children. His wife and my sister, Anita Liggett has been left alone and in need of our financial support during this difficult and life changing circumstance. Our goal is high, asking for $25K is a BIG ask, but I know that whatever we raise in Fred's honor will be of great assistance.
What can a person say about Fred...first he was funny, he was proud, he held his head high and he was strong. In the 44 years that I've known Fred Liggett, not once do I recall a time when he was unkind, disrespectful toward another or unwilling to stop everything he was doing to help someone in need.
Fred loved coffee. He made a fantastic steak. He gave more in his 59 years than most of us will ever hope to...to his wife, his children, grandchildren and his service career. Fred had a fun spirit, he loved meeting new people. In fact, my sister often faulted him for starting conversations with the most random people. She'd wait while he had a 15 minute conversation with a stranger.
There are a million stories that our family could tell, funny, silly, happy stories of a man so loved his family and life. His journey may be over, but he will live within us forever and until we meet again, with God's grace, let us remember him this way.
Thank you all.
