Freda Rigby

This amazing woman has many names... wife, mother, nana, daughter, teacher, mentor. I call her friend. Just over four years ago, another word pushed its way into her life and tried to take over, but she fought hard and refused to let it define her. Freda was diagnosed with cancer, but she has handled it with the most unwavering grace, trusting constantly in the Lord. Her loving and devoted husband, Dave, has been by her side, keeping us all updated through social media when Freda was unable.

This week Freda and Dave received the news that no one wants to hear; the cancer has spread and there is nothing more they can do. With tears in his eyes, the oncologist told them she probably has 3 to 6 months.

The outpouring of love, prayers, food and well wishes for the Rigbys has been overwhelming, but so many are still asking how they can help.
