Sick Puppy Vet Bills

Last Friday I found this little guy in the backyard of a property I was doing an inspection at for my work. The tenant had found him wandering around and brought him into their backyard, called animal control, and left him there with the assumption that animal control would come get him asap. 2 days later, by the time I found him, animal control hadn't come and the puppy was tangled up in a bed frame due to the leash the tenant had left on him because he was 'too gross to touch'. The puppy couldn't move whatsoever, didn't have any water or food and was in direct sunlight. I untangled him, put him in the car and brought him straight to the closest vet. They immediately checked his vitals to make sure he was stable and gave him some food which he wolfed down. In the 10 minutes the puppy was with them, the vet techs fell in love and decided to pool their money to treat him there as opposed to taking him to a shelter. On the day he came in he weighed in at 18 pounds, as an estimated 6 month old German Shepherd he should weigh about 50. Aside from the obvious malnourishment and sunburn, he has Sarcoptic Mange (Scabies) which takes weeks to treat with medicated baths as well as topical treatments and is very contagious to other dogs/people. He also tested positive for several types of internal parasites and is being treated for these as well. I've been visiting or calling to check in on him every day to check on his progress and we are now trying to offset some of his vet bills, although we aren't sure of a total yet as he will require months of attention.
