Frederick Kobrick Camp Scholarship

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I am making this post to let everyone know that Frederick Kobrick has passed away from heart failure on the 12th. Fred was an extraordinary person who soaked up every experience life had to offer with an unquenchable curiosity and wonder. He approached every situation with an open mind and an unflappable sense of right and wrong. Fred had an apt way of describing the world with his “Fred-isms” that were both profound and humorous. His down to Earth wisdom was always tempered with genuine concern and warmth. Fred spent many years as an Occupational Therapist working with children with MR. He will also be fondly remembered as the lovable archery instructor/counselor at camp Setebaid for Diabetic children where he was known to spur the kids on to hit the bullseye with a rousing cry of, “Hit the buck and win a buck!” Fred loved children and dedicated his life to helping them. He would often say that he was just a big kid, and working around children just allowed him to be himself. Fred touched the lives of so many kids, and before he passed he expressed approbation at the thought of a child going to Diabetes camp in his name. If you are so inclined to help me to honor the memory of Fred with a donation, the proceeds will go to a camp that will help to further the education and support of Diabetic children in the tradition that Fred held with such regard.
